Locals demand to resume operation of Biratnagar Jute Mill

BIRATNAGAR, Oct 16: Local residents, representatives of political parties and stakeholders concerned have demanded to bring Biratnagar Jute Mills that has been closed for last two years, into operation.



Participants of an interaction organiZed by Biratnagar Rani Youth Club stressed on the need for resuming the mill.[break]



On the occasion, local leader of UCPN (Maoist) Binod Paudel, Nepali Congress Morang President Amrit Aryal, CPN (UML) District Chairman Binod Dhakal, lawmaker from Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Nepal) Jayaram Yadav expressed their commitment to support from their places to bring the mill into operation.



Chairman of the Pressure Group Aita Bahadur warned of stern protest if the government does not forge consensus to resume the mill before the Chhath festival.
