UDAYAPUR, May 24: A girl from Katari was killed due to a lightning strike that accompanied the rain.
Nima Tamang, 12, of Katari Municipality-12, Chilaune died on Tuesday morning due to lightning strike.

According to District Police Office Udayapur, Nima, who was sitting in the shed of local Khadga Bahadur Tamang, died on the spot due to the lightning strike that hit with the incessant rain since morning.
DSP Harinandan Chaudhary said that a joint team led by Assistant Police Inspector (API) Command of Police Station Baseri and Police Inspector from the Area Police Office Katari reached the incident site on Tuesday and took the body to Katari hospital for post-mortem as per the legal procedure.
