KATHMANDU, June 23: Laxmi Bank Ltd has received USD 20 million from Doha Bank, Dubai as a placement for a tenure of 3 years, the bank said in a press release.

The two Banks had signed an agreement on 27 April, 2020 at the presence of Ajaya B. Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Laxmi Bank and Suraj Bickram Shahi, Country Head of Doha Bank for Nepal.
The fund was received upon regulatory approval and shall improve the lending capacity of Laxmi Bank in various priority sectors of the country, read the press release.
