SURKHET, Aug 18: The Chhinchu-Jajarkot road section along the Bheri corridor has been blocked due to landslides. According to the Jajarkot District Police Office, roads have been blocked after landslides occurred in places under Chedagad Municipality and Bheri Municipality due to rain on Friday evening.

Purshotam Pandey, chief of the District Police Office, said that although the debris was cleared at some places, the Chhinchu-Jajarkot road is still blocked due to landslides that occurred in Kudu and Matela on Saturday morning.
Workers from the Road Division Office have been deployed to remove the debris since this morning. They are also engaged in removing the landslide debris in the Chandannath Gana Malika barracks area. Police said that there is a problem in opening the roads on time due to the lack of sufficient equipment. Continuous rainfall has also caused problems in reopening the roads. RSS
