The KJWP had called for a strike in Kirant Pradesh demanding unconditional release of its cadre Jiwan Rai. Rai was arrested while collecting donation at Rampur Bazaar in the district.
While one bus (Ba 2 Kha 283) was heading for Beltar from Thokshila area of Rampur village in Udayapur, another (NA 2 Kha 3105) was heading for Biratnagar from Gaighat.
The KJWP has also demanded the government treat them as a political party and address their demands. The KJWP´s Spokesperson Aadim said they called strikes in Udayapur, Khotang, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Bhojpur, Dhankuta and Sindhuli districts to exert pressure on the government.
Meanwhile, police have arrested three KJWP cadres. The arrested have been identified as Prabin Tamang, Dipsan Rai and Dev Kumar Tamang of Nunthala VDC in Khotang district.
