Kranti Subba releases ‘Hong Kong Bhitra’

A Hong Kong based Nepali writer Kranti Subba launched a travelogue titled ‘Hong Kong Bhitra’ written in Nepali language.

A Hong Kong based Nepali writer Kranti Subba launched a travelogue titled ‘Hong Kong Bhitra’ written in Nepali language. The book was launched by Vice Chancellor of Nepal Academy, Ganga Prasad Uppreti on Saturday in Kathmandu.


Speaking at the program Uppreti shared, “The book portrays an amazing amalgamation of intellectuality, philosophy and entertainment.” Meanwhile, the author informed that he has mentioned his memories of residing in Hong Kong for three months in 2040 BS in the book.  He stated that the development made by the Hong Kong at that time is imitable.

Talking about Subba’s work in the event, poet Hankyung Agyaat claimed that Subba is creating a buzz among Nepali literature field in Hong Kong and his works are contributing to create a foundation of Nepali literature since 1997.


Likewise, about his inspiration to write the book, author Subba remembered, “I was in search for something. During that search I felt lost for several years. Then, my circumstances led me to Hong Kong, and helped me in my research at that time.” He cleared that during that gap, he was researching about history and geography of Hong Kong.
