KOICA sets up quarantine facility at Nuwakot District Hospital

KATHMANDU, March 28: The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has set up a quarantine facility for suspected patients of coronavirus at Nuwakot Hospital.

KATHMANDU, March 28: The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has set up a quarantine facility for suspected patients of coronavirus at Nuwakot Hospital.



According to the press release issued by KOICA, the facility has been set up to support the Nepal government to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Nuwakot Hospital constructed the quarantine facility with support from the Government of the Republic of Korea through the KOICA. The quarantine facility has 10 beds and more beds will be set assessing the situation. 


As of 27 March, four COVID-19 cases have been confirmed so far. The first person has already returned to home after being recovered while three others are undergoing treatment. The nation went into lockdown since Tuesday and, international flights to and from Tribhuvan International Airport have been suspended to contain the COVI-19.
