KAPILVASTU, Aug 10: After detecting the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in five of its employees on Sunday, Kapilvastu Hospital decided to suspend all its services except emergency services from Monday.
Four health workers and a security person tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. Similarly, a lab assistant at the hospital was also diagnosed with the viral disease three days ago.

According to the medical superintendent of the hospital, Kishor Banjhade, the hospital has suspended all its services except emergency until further notice after witnessing the coronavirus disease in health workers, a security person and other patients.
In recent days, Kapilvastu district has witnessed COVID-19 transmission at the community level.
As many as 77 throat swab samples of the hospital’s employees have been collected for COVID-19 tests on Monday. The tests results are awaited.
