KATHMANDU, Feb 29: Kin of the medical students killed in the vehicular accident one week ago in Mahararajgunj have demanded an independent probe into the accident.

Organizing a press meet at the Reporters Club Nepal in the capital today, the kin of the deceased have sought a stringent action against those including the driver involved in the killing arguing that the driver had faced 27 actions after he took driving license.

Dr. Bharat Kumar Yadav, father of the deceased Ananad, sought murder charges against all those including the driver, arguing that a series of crimes committed by the driver, operating 27-year-old vehicle and ferrying students by a travel vehicle have already come to the fore against vehicular rules and regulations.

Doctors Sanjeep Subedi (26) of Pyuthan and Soni Anand of Bihar, India had been killed after being hit by a school bus (Ba 1 Pa 43), belonging to Thapagaun-based Singhajhare Bidhya Sanskar School, at Maharajgunj on Sunday evening.

They were first year students of MD at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
