KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Today marks both International Pulses Day and Arabian Leopard Day. People worldwide consume pulses as a major source of nutrition. The United Nations launched International Pulses Day in 2018 to boost legume production, support sustainable agriculture, and improve nutrition for vulnerable communities. The organization considers this day essential for maintaining diversity in food systems.

Similarly, the United Nations General Assembly declared February 10 as International Arabian Leopard Day to raise awareness about this endangered species. The observance of his day encourages efforts to conserve the Arabian leopard and its habitat while protecting biodiversity.
