Indian side constructs dam in no man’s land

KANCHANPUR, Dec. 11: The forest department of India has started the construction works of a wall in no man’s land at Parasan in Punarbas Municipality without Nepal’s consensus.

The Indian side has started the construction of the wall along the border pillar 191 to 194 in the Nepal-India border at Parasan in Kanchanpur district.Chief District Officer of Kanchanpur, Manohar Prasad Aryal, said that information would be taken regarding the building of dam like construction.

The locals in the region said that border encroachment from the Indian side is on from the long past.

Expert on border issue Kuber Nath said that Indian side is bullying time and again though building any structures in the no man’s land is against the international practice.

Likewise, lawmaker Diban Singh Bista of Kanchanpur-1 said that he would take steps to draw the attention of the Legislature-Parliament regarding the construction works from Indian side. RSS
