SAPTARI, Jan 7: The police arrested an Indian citizen from Saptari with 530,000 Indian rupees of unknown origin on Saturday.
Organizing a press conference on Saturday, the District Police Office, Saptari said the arrested has been identified as 25-year-old Sanjay Kumar Yadav of Madhuvani Gram Panchayat-3, Subbatol. He was apprehended from Rajgadh Rural Municipality-2 Jhaurachok along with the cash.

Superintendent of Police Gajusiddhi Brajacharya at District Police Office, Saptari stated that during a routine check of various vehicles, the police team deployed from the District Police Office stopped and checked Yadav's motorcycle (BR 50 B 1542), leading to his arrest with the cash. Yadav was allegedly attempting to bring Indian currency into Nepal while hiding it in the trunk of a motorcycle.
Police mentioned that they are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
