Nepal entered the knock-out stage beating New Zealand and Ireland in Group D to finish runner-up in the group while India won all three matches to top the group.
Nepal will face the winner of the match between host Bangladesh and Namibia of Group A, while India will play against the loser of the match.
On Monday, Nepal, posting a meager target of 170 runs against the three-time champion India, failed to defend the total as Nepali bowlers couldn't upset the Test-playing nation.
India met the target in 18.1 overs losing three wickets in the match played for 48-over per side. The match was reduced to 48 overs after bad weather delayed the kickoff by 30 minutes.
The pair of Indian U-19 batsmen Rishabh Pant and skipper Ishan Kishan shared the opening stand of 124 runs in just 9.1 overs to comfortable steer their team toward victory.
Quickfire Rishab, who was later adjudged the player-of-the-match, scored the highest 78 runs facing only 24 balls and Ishan added 52 runs off 40 balls.
The pair started dealing with boundaries from the very first ball and Rishab scored the fastest 50 runs in U-19 cricket. He faced only 18 balls to reach the milestone. Rishab smashed five sixes and nine fours from 24 balls while Ishan hit three sixes and seven boundaries.
Sarfaraz Khan (21 runs off 23 balls) and Armaan Jaffer (12 off 13) remained not out for India.
Nepali bowlers were quite expensive against the aggressive Indian batsmen with Prem Tamang taking two wickets at the cost of 41 runs in six overs despite maintaining a maiden over.
Similarly, Sandeep Lamichhane, who bagged five wickets against Ireland, gave away 37 runs in 5.1 overs.
Dipendra Singh Airee conceded 23 runs, Aarif Sheikh gave away 18 runs and Sunil Dhamala gave away 14 runs in an over each while Kushal Bhurtel conceded 22 runs and Sushil Kandel gave away 20 runs in two overs.
Earlier, being invited to bat first, Nepal put 169/8 in 48 overs with opener Sandeep Sunar scoring the highest 37 runs facing 73 balls that included four boundaries.
Nepal started its innings in a disappointing manner losing opener Sunil Dhamal for a duck in the last ball of the first over.
Nepal kept on losing wickets at regular interval and was once 107 for 7 in 38.2. However, Rajbir Singh (35 off 68) shared a 37-run stand for the eighth wicket with unbeaten Prem Tamang (29 off 40) to provide a little resistance to Indian attack.
Rajbir hit a four while Prem cracked a six and two fours. Prem was the only batsman to hit a six for Nepal. Aarif Sheikh scored 24 runs facing 44 balls that included four boundaries.
Avesh Khan picked up the highest three wickets for India while Mayank Dagar and Washington Sundar claimed two wickets each.
Happy Earth Day!
