ICC Champions Trophy: India and Australia to play in semifinals

India has maintained its unbeaten run in the ICC Champions Trophy. On Sunday, the team defeated New Zealand by 44 runs. Chasing a target of 250 runs, New Zealand was bowled out for 205 in 45.3 overs. Varun Chakravarthy claimed 5 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav snatched 2 wickets. Kane Williamson top-scored with 81 runs from New Zealand.

KATHMANDU, March 3: India has maintained its unbeaten run in the ICC Champions Trophy. On Sunday, the team defeated New Zealand by 44 runs. Chasing a target of 250 runs, New Zealand was bowled out for 205 in 45.3 overs. Varun Chakravarthy claimed 5 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav snatched 2 wickets. Kane Williamson top-scored with 81 runs from New Zealand.


At the Dubai International Stadium, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bowl. India managed to score 249 runs, losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer contributed 79 runs. Matt Henry from New Zealand took 5 wickets.

With this victory, India secured the top spot in Group A, meaning their semifinal match will be against Australia on March 4 at the same venue. South Africa and New Zealand will face each other in the second semifinal.
