KATHMANDU, Feb 24: In a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, lawmaker Dr Amaresh Kumar Singh has sought the details of funds that entered the country through the non-governmental and international non-governmental sectors. He also wanted the government to demonstrate the utility of such funds.
The House should have access to information about the size of funds that streamed into the country through the NGOs and INGOs, he said.
He urged the government to issue a White Paper regarding this. He also questioned the government about the reason behind Nepal falling on the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
