The normal life in Rukum, Rolpa, Jajarkot and Dolpa districts has been badly hit by the snowfall. The snowfall is heaviest of the past six years. The districts are covered by snow up to two feet high. [break]
Gotamkot of Rukum, Syalakhadi, Bafikot, Sisne, Pwong, Jang, Maikot, Hukam, Taksera, Kol, Ranshi, Mahat, Kakri,Chunwang, Chaukhawang, Khalanga, Sankh, Salapakha, Rukumkot, Morawang, Kanda, and Ghalma VDC have witnessed snowfall. Likewise, two dozen VDCs including Thawang of Rolpa, Dhawang, Howma, Khumel, Gam, Jailwang, Seram , Swuri, Kureli, Mirul, Pakhapani, Rank, Bhawang, Ghartigaun, Pachhawang, Rangshi have received snowfall.

Likewise, lives in Dolpa´s headquarters Dunai have also been severely affected. Snowfall has led to the closure of schools of, crops have been damaged and children, senior citizen, ailing people and postnatal women are also suffering due to biting cold.

Pokhara hills covered in snow
Snowfall at various parts of Kaski has rendered the hills in Pokhara white. The snowfall that started on Thursday evening continued till late night. There has been sharp decline in the temperatures of the areas that received the snowfall.

According to locals, Dhikurpokhari of Kaski, Lumle Pothana, Australian Camp, Dhampus and Ghandhruk VDC received heavy snowfall. Youngsters from Pokhara were seen heading toward those places Friday morning to enjoy the snow.
