The torrential monsoon which has started since this morning, several areas including Gharbati Tole, Sahid Setu BK Chowk, Shantinagar, Bankegaun have been washed out.
The flood has got inside the settlements, damaging food, clothes, among, others. According to a local, Gharbari Tole is the most affected area where as many as 50 houses have been inundated.

The flood has wreaked havoc in the area due to the lack of proper management of the drainage system which is now under construction. Currently, there are two big projects underway at the assistant of Asia Development Bank.
Similarly, contractor, Pappu Contruction has left the sewerage system incomplete across the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur and Rajha-Jamuna Road section.
Nepalgunj Sub Municipality has started draining out the water from the flood-affected area with the help of an excavator.
