Doctors say surgery not required
KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Kirtipur Burn Hospital reported that Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, injured in the Pokhara explosion, are recovering.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the hospital stated that doctors classified their wounds as "second-degree superficial burns." If their condition remains stable, they will not require surgery.
However, doctors need more time to evaluate the impact of facial burns on their trachea and lungs before making further decisions.
To minimize the risk of infection, the hospital administration has completely restricted visits starting Sunday morning.
