KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Hamas and Israel have agreed to a temporary ceasefire for four days.


The two sides have agreed to a temporary ceasefire for the first time since the war started about one and a half months ago, according to international news agencies.

With the long-awaited agreement between Israel and Hamas, Hamas has said that it will release 50 Israeli hostages. According to the BBC, 50 hostages will be released in the initial phase. They will include women and children.


On Tuesday, Israel's Prime Minister's Office confirmed that Hamas is set to release 50 hostages and a temporary ceasefire will be placed for four days.
