He was arrested on Saturday. He is being investigated by seeking judicial remand of four days from Sunday, said SP Dinesh Raj Mainali, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police. The operators of Greenline including Amit had absconded as they were unable to repay the loan of more than Rs 1 billion to banks, financial institutions and friends.

He came in contact with the police about a month after absconding. After coming in contact, he made public the details of his business by holding a press conference on February 11.

It is alleged that two bank cheques - one of Rs 15 million and the other of Rs 5 million - issued by Agrawal had bounced. Banks have sealed the Greenline shop after Agrawal failed to repay the loan. Agrawal had been selling and distributing liquor at Kantipath and Durbarmarg in Kathmandu.
