Kathmandu, Feb 18: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government was working through diplomatic channels to address the matter of the death of a Nepali student in the hostel of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India.
Prime Minister Oli used his social media account on Monday to share that the government was working diplomatically on the matter. “It has been reported through the media and social media that a Nepali student has died in the hostel of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India, and that Nepali students have been subsequently forcibly evicted from the hostel. The government is working diplomatically on this matter.”

Prakriti Lamsal, a Nepali student at the KIIT, was found dead in the girls' hostel of the Institute.
