KATHMANDU, May 14: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has requested all concerned authorities to arrange for teaching during the winter or summer vacations, as regular teaching activities have been affected due to the teachers' protests.
After the Nepal Teachers' Association (NTA) instructed teachers to teach during the holidays, the Ministry has asked all concerned bodies to make necessary arrangements for teaching.

“The Ministry makes a special request to all local levels, schools, and concerned stakeholders to play a unique role in coordination, cooperation, and facilitation to promote teachers' commitment to significantly improving students' learning outcomes,” stated the ministry in its press statement.
The NTA had carried out a street protest and an educational strike for 29 days starting from April 2.
