The Finance Ministry has said the product-oriented corporations need to come into operation to contribute to nation´s economy.[break]
Issuing a press release on Thursday, the Ministry lauded the concerns the political representatives, farmers and stakeholders showed for the resumption of Birgunj Sugar Mill which is closed for long.
However, the Ministry said the government was serious to reopen the Mill, adopting necessary measures.
A meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Minister in the presence of PM Dr Bhattarai on Thursday stressed that production-oriented public corporations must remain operational.
According to the press release, the PM has directed the concerned bodies to concentrate how the closed factory could be brought into operation with the use of means and resources.
