KATHMANDU, Sept 17: The government has formed a talk team to hold dialogue with senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govidna KC, who has been on hunger strike in Dhangadhi putting forth several demands for medical sector reform.
Issuing a press release on Friday, Spokesperson at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Mahendra Pantha informed that the team coordinated by a secretary at the OPMCM was formed to initiate dialogue with Dr KC on his demands.
Government forms high level talk team

The talk team comprises secretaries of the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and a representative from Nepal Medical Association as members. The government has urged Dr KC to end the hunger strike and come to a dialogue table. Meanwhile, it is reported that the health condition of Dr KC is deteriorating of late.
