Govt approves President's India visit

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The government has endorsed the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav’s upcoming India visit on Friday.



A meeting of the cabinet held at Singh Durbar this morning approved the 22-member visiting team for the President’s visit, according to Raj Kishore Yadav, spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications.[break]



The head of the state is leaving India for a six-day visit official visit beginning from December 23.



This is President Yadav´s third visit to India. Earlier, he had visited India on February 15, 2010.



According to the cabinet decision, the visiting team of the head of state includes President’s daughter Anita Yadav, Minister for Irrigation, Mahendra Yadav, President´s advisors, Hari Sharma and Rajendra Dahal, Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary of President Office, Shetal Babu Tiwari, MoFA Chief of Protocol, Nirajan Man Singh Basnet, MoFA joint Secretary Mani Ram Ojha, Under Secretary Narayan Prasad Mainali and Kali Prasad Pokhrel, Nepal Army Brigadier General Pradip Bahdur Singh, President’s personal physician, Yadav Dev Bhtta and among others.
