Government cash balance stands at Rs 65.81 billion

Spokesperson Lamichhane said that based on the balances of various funds and extra-budgetary bodies, the government’s total cash and bank balance amounted to a positive Rs 65.81 billion.

KATHMANDU, Nov 2: The Office of the Auditor General has submitted the consolidated financial statement of the federal government for Fiscal Year (FY) 2081/82.



The report includes the annual internal audit report and the consolidated statement of government assets.

Auditor General Shobhakant Paudel submitted the overall report to Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal.


According to the report, the government’s consolidated fund stood at a negative balance of Rs 196.34 billion, while the overall cash position showed a deficit of Rs 31.34 billion.


Spokesperson Lamichhane said that based on the balances of various funds and extra-budgetary bodies, the government’s total cash and bank balance amounted to a positive Rs 65.81 billion.
