Gold price decline by Rs 1,700 per tola

With the beginning of the Nepali year 2082, a sharp decline in the price of gold was observed in the domestic market on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, April 15: With the beginning of the Nepali year 2082, a sharp decline in the price of gold was observed in the domestic market on Tuesday. 


According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations, the price of gold has been fixed at Rs 184,300 per tola on Tuesday, marking an decrease of Rs 1,700 per tola.

The price of gold jumped by Rs 47,000 per tola (11.664 grams) in the domestic market in the past one year mainly due to the surge in the price of the precious yellow metal in the international market.


Meanwhile, the price of silver has also decreased by Rs 15 per tola. The silver, which was trading at Rs 1,960 per tola on Sunday, dropped to Rs 1,945 on Tuesday.
