According to SSP Bijaya Lal Kayastha, chief of Metropolitan Police Crime Division, the body of the girl was found inside bathroom of a room located in the fourth floor of Parbat Shikhar Guest House in Sundhara. [break]
According to the hotel staff, the girl was accompanied by a boy when they booked the hotel room at around 9:30 in the name of Nabin Magar. After about one and half hour later boy made an exit from the hotel on the pretext of withdrawing some cash from ATM.
The staff got suspicious and informed the police after the boy didn’t return to the hotel and the girl didn’t respond to their calls.
When the door was opened with force, the girl was found lying on the floor of the bathroom, the police said. The mobile number provided by the boy at the time of checking in turned out to be fake, as it belonged to a police officer with the intelligence department.
“First, we are trying to identify the girl,” SSP Kayastha said. Till late Tuesday evening, nobody had enquired about the girl. The police had instructed the hotel operators to strictly register the proper identification details of their guests.
