Those killed in the incident are Birendra Kumar Magar, 37, Kaji Magar, 13, Som Bahadur Magar, 27 and Dangsadaso Sherpa, 10.
Among the injured, five were taken to Barhabise for treatment.
According to the police, the truck loaded with sand was heading to Ghorthali from Barhabise when it fell 500 meter off the road.
