Two people were killed and another injured when a tipper and a motorcycle collided in Patihani VDC of Chitwan. According to District Police Office, Chitwan, the accident took place after the tipper (Ba 2 Kha 6161) en route to Kasar from Bharatpur hit the motorcycle (NA 5 Pa 3163) coming from the opposite direction. Khemraj Mahato and Bishal Chaudhary of Patihani VDC, Chitwan died on the spot while Sabin Mahoto sustained minor injury, informed the police. Sabin is undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital.
Meanwhile, a tipper (Na 3 Kha 6867) hit a motorcycle (Na 16 Pa 9168) heading for Birgunj from Hetauda, killing motorcycle rider Dinesh Sharma, 34, of Bharatpur Municipality in Chitwan. The accident took place at Churiyamai, the road section between Birgunj and Hedtauda, informed Central Region Traffic Police Office(CRTPO) in Patlaiya.
The police have seized the tipper, while driver Padma Bahadur Jhosi has been arrested for investigation.
Similarly, Pappu Khapi, 21, of Badaharmal-9 of Siraha district, was killed after his motorcycle hit a bicycle along the east-west highway in Siraha on Friday evening.
Roshan Sah, who was riding pillion on Khapi´s motorcycle (Sa. 1 Pa 5279) and cyclist Prem Kumar Das, of Badaharmal-7, were injured in the accident.
