KATHMANDU, Jan 28: Police have arrested four people on charges of defrauding individuals by luring them with promises of attractive salaries for foreign employment.
One of the arrested individuals has been identified as Sunil Dasaudi, 25, of Chhatreswori Rural Municipality-6, Salyan who is currently residing in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14. The other is Bikash Dawadi, 31, of Panchkhal Municipality-5, Kavrepalanchok and residing in Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, Lalitpur. Besides, Surendra BK, 37, of Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-7, Gorkha who is currently residing in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, and Bishakha Paudel, 24, of Gokarneshwor Municipality-8, Kathmandu, are also among the arrested.

Sunil took Rs 2.24 million from a victim by promising to send Serbia. Bikash swindled his victims out of Rs 300,000 by promising to send them to Japan, Surendra scammed Rs 9.754 million from one victim for America, and Bisakha received Rs 160,000 from a victim for Kuwait.
Based on the victim’s complaints, police deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku arrested Sunil from Kathmandu, Surendra from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, Bishakha from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12 on Sunday, and Bikash from Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, Lalitpur, on Monday.
Among the arrested, Sunil, Bikash and Bisakha have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu while Surendra to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, for necessary further investigations.
