FNJ hands over Rs 734,168 to ailing Chalise

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Federation of Nepali Journalist (FNJ) handed over a cheque worth Rs 734,164 to mother of ailing journalist Ramesh Chalise.



FNJ had appealed to journalist fraternity, among others, to support Chalise who is receiving treatment for kidney-related ailments in India.[break]



This is the first time FNJ has collected such a large amount to support a journalist.



FNJ chairman Shiva Gaule expressed his gratitude to all who extended their support.
