KATHMANDU, March 16: Five candidates have been shortlisted for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE).
The CEO selection committee of the NEPSE has shortlisted five candidates from the ten applicants based on their educational qualifications and professional work plans. These candidates have been invited to present their work plans and undergo interviews on March 19.

The shortlisted candidates include Chudamani Chapagain; Narad Kumar Luitel; Former CEO of CDS and Clearing Limited (CDSC) Purna Prasad Acharya; Badri Prasad Pyakurel from Nuwakot, and Hemant Basyal.
The CEO selection committee called for applications on February 24, and applications from Yuvraj Dahal, Prabin Adhikari, Bimal Kumar Tiwari, Krishna Bahadur Karki, and Mukunda Raj Joshi were shortlisted. After the interviews of the shortlisted candidates, the selection committee will recommend three names.
Based on the committee's recommendation, the Cabinet will appoint the CEO. For the CEO recommendation, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel had formed a three-member committee on February 23, led by Financial Sector Management and Corporation Coordination Division Chief Sebantak Pokharel, to recommend the CEO. The committee also includes Amrit Lamsal, the undersecretary, and Dr Khom Raj Kharel as members.
