Father murdered, son seriously injured

JANAKPUR, July 6: A man was murdered while his son was critically injured by an unidentified group of assailants in Bayalbaspokhari, Ishwarpur-5, of Sarlahi on Sunday night, police said.



The assailants numbering seven slit the throat of Ram Chandra Mahato with a khukuri while he was asleep in his house. Mahato´s son La Babu received injuries in his leg while he tried to protect his father.



Police are looking for the murderers, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Sharad Kumar Oli.
