The Area Police Office, Ganeshpur said 24-year-old Laxmi Teli died on Tuesday due to beating by her husband Subas Teli and father-in-law Khewa Teli.[break]
Locals informed the police that Laxmi’s husband and father-in-law had been torturing her for not bringing dowry. She got married with Subas one year back.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Sukhmaya, another woman from Shivapur VDC in the district, has been found dead in India. She had been working as a maid at a businessman’s house in Siddharthanagar, Uttar Pradesh in India.
