SUNSARI, June 11: Due to extreme heat, schools in Sunsari district including those in Inaruwa and Itahari municipalities area have been given a three-day holiday.
The municipality's chief administrative officer, Dilli Niraula said that the holiday is from today until Friday (June 11-13). There has been a significant increase in heat in Eastern Nepal, including Inaruwa, in recent days.

Similarly, the Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City has also decided to declare a holiday for all community and institutional schools for one day due to the heat.
The acting mayor of the sub-metropolitan city, Sangita Chaudhary, announced in a notice on Tuesday to this end.
