From June 18, IELTS customers can pay for their test in Kathmandu and any other city listed above. IELTS exam takers do not need to come to the British Council office for payment. They can register online and confirm their seat by making a payment at any Nabil Bank counter before sending British Council Nepal their payment details via the bank’s deposit slip.

This new facility adds to the payment options available for IELTS test-takers, who can still choose to register at the British Council premises if they wish or via their registration partners/centers at each test location.

According to the press statement, all IELTS takers from June onwards will qualify to enter for an IELTS Award scheme worth Rs 1,00,000. There will be one winner every month. The British Council has taken to Facebook to figure out how the winners should be selected.

The press statement quoted country exams manager Jim O’Neill who shared, “We look forward to bringing IELTS to new customers in Nepalgunj and the surrounding areas. This will help make the test more accessible and easier for people in the Western Region of the country. Our partners in the area are also ready to help by providing registration services as well as consultations on visa processing and test preparation. We will share information on these opportunities regularly through our website and social media”
