Earthquake update: 6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Sindhupalchowk

An earthquake measuring 6.1 Magnitude with its epicenter in Sindhupalchowk struck large parts of Nepal early morning Friday. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the earthquake was recorded at 2:51 AM with Bhairab Kunda area of Sindhupalchowk district as its epicenter.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: An earthquake measuring 6.1 Magnitude struck large parts of Nepal early morning Friday.

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, tremors of the earthquake with its epicenter around Bhairab Kunda in Sindhupalchowk district were felt at 2:51 AM.


There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The region, known for past seismic activity, frequently experiences minor tremors.
