“As the vehicles were restricted from plying the road that leads to Machhapokhari from Balaju Chowk, people didn´t turn up,” said Shambhu Subedi, Senior Manager-Nissan cars of Dugar Brother and Sons.

The Balaju Fair takes place annually with huge participation from the locals.

“We didn´t even know, as we weren´t pre-informed, that the Auto Mela was being held inside the industrial area. And as far as the traffic is concerned, local people are more involved in not allowing vehicles to ply on the road, than we are,” said Dibesh Lohani, DSP of Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju.

Besides attractive exchange offers, the new model of Nissan Tiida and Nissan X-Trail have also been put on display at the fair.
