KATHMANDU, April 16: A team led by Dr Priti Bhusal are on the way to scale the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, to spread the message of two important contemporary issues. On the first day of the trip, Dr Bhusal's team reached Lukla on Friday.
According to Dr Bhusal, she is going to climb Mt. Everest to appreciate the contribution of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, hospital administration staff, sanitation workers, ambulance drivers and social workers who are at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 virus.

Similarly, Dr Bhusal said her second goal of climbing Mt. Everest is to convey the message that there is no alternative to mitigating the effects of climate change in nature. She said that she is climbing the mountain as a responsible mountaineer to spread the message of stopping the growing pollution in the Himalayan region.
Famous mountaineers Pemba Dorje Sherpa and Lakpa Nuru are accompanying Dr Bhusal in the upcoming trek under the management of Himalayan Shepard Eco Tourism.
