DIG Prasain who distributed money to political party leaders and workers, and journalists by calling them to his office, also sent Rs 2,000 to FNJ in an envelope.
After the incident, FNJ Morang Treasurer Gokul Parajuli protested by telephoning that such an act had hampered the glory of FNJ.
DIG Prasain had been in debate after he bought more than 200 pairs of kurta suruwal for his adopted sister a few days ago.
It is said that he distributed money to improve relations with the journalists after media disseminated news on this.
