DHANGADHI, June 26: Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has introduced a budget of Rs 1.93 billion for the coming fiscal year 2080/81 BS.
Presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year in the 10th municipal assembly of the sub-metropolis on Sunday, Deputy Mayor Kandakala Kumari Rana said Rs 1.17 billion has been allocated for recurrent expenditure and Rs 756.3 million for capital expenditure.
What is missing in budget for agriculture?
The highest 44 per cent of the total budget or Rs 853.6 million has been allocated for social development.
Of the total budget, Rs 354 million is expected to be received as internal income and Rs 469 million from revenue mobilization, and Rs 928 million from intergovernmental fiscal transfer.
The budget has given priority to management of encroached public property, easy access of Dhangadhi sub-metropolis folks to basic needs including quality education, health and drinking water, commercialization of agriculture, livestock, industry and tourism sector, sustainable infrastructure development, sanitation and urban development.
