KATHMANDU, July 22: Thousands of devotees visited the Pashupatinath Temple today to mark the first Monday of Shrawan, the Nepali month dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Monday is considered especially auspicious for Lord Shiva. On this day, married women fast for the longevity of their husbands, while unmarried girls fast with hopes of finding a good spouse.
