BHERIGANGA(SURKHET), March 25: Kulmani Devkota has been elected as the chair of CPN-UML, Surkhet district chapter.
In an election held on Sunday for new leadership, Devkota defeated his close contender Amrit Kumar BC.

According to CPN-UML Surkhet, among others elected are Mohan Baduwal (vice-chair), Dambar Tiwari (secretary) and Tikaram Somai (deputy secretary–open).
Likewise, Sushila Biswokarma was elected to the post of women secretary.
The election committee said that vote count for members is currently underway.
