Deuba proposes referendum to settle delineation dispute

NEPALGUNJ, Nov 23: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has expressed the view that the dispute surfaced over delineation of provinces should be settled through referendum.

At a news conference organized by the Nepal Press Union, Banke, here today, leader Deuba said that agitation of Madhes-centric parties of blocking the border was an anti-people move.


He stressed the need of finalizing the disputed issues of the new constitution from Legislature-Parliament, saying that violent agitations could not create environment conducive for talks.

Responding to a query, leader Deuba said, "Supply management has become a complex and weak as the incumbent government failed to control black marketing." RSS
