KATHMANDU, April 3: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol has warned KMC Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) not to give instructions from his room.
On Thursday, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Saroj Guragain returned to the office after 3 months and 14 days. During this period, the city police attempted to stop him, but despite their effort, employees and representatives escorted him into his office. As soon as he entered, a meeting was held with Deputy Mayor Dangol and others.

In the meeting, Deputy Mayor Dangol stated that the delay in allowing CAO Guragain to return to his office had caused distress to thousands of employees and millions of Kathmandu residents. She said, “Thousands of employees and millions of Kathmandu residents have suffered. We haven't been able to provide financial assistance to cancer patients either. If further investigation is needed, it should be done, but we shouldn't keep people in this pain.”
She added, “Should we have to witness this spectacle? If it’s the mayor’s order, the mayor must come forward. Otherwise, orders cannot be given from the room. First, we need to resolve today’s issue, and then we will hold a board meeting. We must solve this problem today.”
