According to Ministry of Finance, half of the total grant assistance has been allocated for Nepal Peace Trust Fund. Remaining amount will go to United Nations Peace Fund for Nepal -- a multi-donor trust fund intended to channel support to the areas of peace process, Nepal Police and three international organizations: International Alert, Saferworld and Search Community Ground.

The Danish government has been supporting Nepal´s peace process since 2007 through the Danish Peace Support Program. The overall objective of the program is to contribute to building a peaceful, democratic, socially just and prosperous Nepal through an inclusive peace process.

The immediate objectives of the program are strengthening the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and enhancing the public security and the wider peace process.
