Manage was rearrested immediately after he was released from Dillibazaar prison on January 20 under Public Offense Act accusing him of misbehaving with police team with ‘an intent of vengeance’ while police were trying to grill him. [break]
Manange had served 11-month sentence after a verdict from District Administration Office Kathmandu in a public offense case in which he was convicted of assault on Abhishek Bikram Shah.
Having served one month jail initially, Manage had managed to get himself freed after filing a petition in which he identified himself as Rajiv Gurung and claiming that he was not Deepak Manange.
The Apex Court, too, had ruled in his favor. Police however arrested him two months later and revived the case against him and forced to pursue his jail term.
Should Deepak Manange be in jail?
