KATHMANDU, Aug 30: Second Valleywide Higher Secondary School-level Dandi-Biyo has begun on Tuesday at the National Sports Council (NSC) premises, Tripureshwar.
In the opening day of the tournament Glory, Readers International Model, Golden Future and Dipsikha of Kavre progressed to the quarterfinals.

Glory defeated Nazareth 220-180, Readers defeated Sanjivani 170-150, Golden defeated Rupak Memorial 140-90 and Dipsikha defeated Radiant Reader 155-120.
NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista inaugurated the two-day event. Altogether 12 teams from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre are participating in the tournament. The top three teams will be rewarded Rs 10,000, 7,000 and 3,000 respectively.
This tournament is being organized by National Sports Council.
