SARLAHI, Jan 18: The Terai region has been experiencing thick fog for the past few days. This has affected daily life, making it, above all, difficult to travel.
In Terai thick fog occurs every year during the winter. However, this year it is different, probably due to climate change, say the locals. Some days there is bright sunshine and some days there is thick fog. Drivers have said that it is difficult to drive vehicles in the morning due to the thick fog. The risk of road accidents has also escalated, according to the District Traffic Office, Nawalpur.
Meanwhile, farmers have not been able to go to their fields due to the fog. Devananda Raya Yadav, head of the Agricultural Knowledge Center, shared that winter crops have been damaged due to fog.
